Hope for African Children Initiative (HACI) is a Non-profit Organisation that engages young leaders & Volunteers to create a better world and access to Quality Education for the out-of-school kids, especially for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children, children with disabilities, young people, and victims of disasters and violent extremism.
Through capacity building, advocacy, efforts and civic engagements of young leaders and volunteers, HACI is committed to advocating for the rights of disabled people, an inclusive and equal educational opportunities for people with disabilities. It gives a voice to these voiceless millions of people who are dejected, rejected, forgotten, maltreated and not valued in our society. We also inspire a greater future by helping vulnerable children and communities to access quality, all-round educational support, skills aquisition, vocational, technical and entrepreneurial training aimed at self-sustainability. HACI harnesses resources towards bridging the enrollment gap into schools between vulnerable out-of-school children and children in school, especially the special children, otherwise called "DISABLED CHILDREN". It provides educational materials, access to healthcare and other psycho-social support programs for children with special needs, with a good focus on ensuring girls’ full and equal access to and achievement in basic education of good quality.
HACI is also a platform for the young people to create impacts. It aims at raising diverse young leaders who will redifine and redesign the future by taking responsibilities towards solving the global challenges, beginning from their different communities. These young volunteers, through mentorship and other pioneering leadership programs, conferences and workshops are trained to become world shapers and the change they wish to see in the word.
